These are certain questions that seem to come up again and again by my clients. Below are some of the most commonly asked questions regarding our training and the work I do at Strategic Football Coaching. However, if you don’t find the answer you are looking for, please give me a call or send me a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Do I need to be at a good at football to train with Strategic Football Coaching or can you train beginners?

We do not discriminate and are excited to train clients of any and all skill levels and abilities. 

Where do the training sessions take place?

We train in a few different places, the location of the training will be made clear when booking your session. 

Do we have to stay and watch the sessions or can we go and do a few jobs during training?

You do not have to stay and watch but you are more than welcome to if you'd like. However if you are not staying than please make sure the contact number left with us can be reached in case of emergency and you are back in good time before the end of the session.

Do you have a valid DBS and first aid training?

Yes, I have a valid DBS and have also completed multiple first Aid courses including the FA first aid course as part of the Introduction to Coaching course.

What happens if it's raining or the weather is bad when our session is scheduled?

Football is an all weather sport and we will play in most weathers. We may however cancel sessions if the weather/pitches is considered dangerous to play on and or if the pitch provider halts play on the surface. If we cancel a session we will make sure to book a new session in at a date and time that's convenient for you 

What happens if we unable to make a booked session?

If a session is cancelled within 48 hours of your session than the fee is non refundable. If the session is cancelled outside of this date then we will allow you to reschedule. (Please note we will only allow a session to be rescheduled once and cancelling a second occasion will result in the session not being rebooked)

Do you coach boys and girls?

We coach boys and girls from the age of 5-16

What do we need for a training session?

Appropriate sports wear must be worn as well as shin pads and astro/football boots depending on weather and training location. A drink will also be needed as well as any medical equipment required (E.G Epipen, Inhaler)  

Do you use any pictures or videos for social media?

We take safeguarding very seriously and will always ask for the permission of parents on our consent forms before taking any videos or pictures. If at any time you'd like to change the answer given on your consent form than please let me know so we can updated our system.

 

PLEASE NOTE Some sessions may be recorded to evaluate and help us to put together future sessions for our clients.   

What's the largest group you'll take in a group session?

We follow the guidance given by the RSPCA for FA-DBS checked coaches per squad which is as follows

For 4-8 years - One adult to every 6 children

For 9-12 Years - One adult to every 8 children

For 13 - 18 years - One adult to every 10 Children 

What equipment is used as part of the training?

We use a variety of different equipment to enable us to give the best possible training and to allow players to visualise situations let they would in a real game scenario. Some of the equipment includes Rebounders, Wall mannequins, Pop up goal, Passing arcs, Interactive reaction training lights, A mixture of large and small cones and more.
